A handful of vocal Rio Rancho residents are steaming over a City Council decision to change Rio Rancho's zoning ordinance.
The change, which received initial council approval Wednesday, would drop the requirement for developers to submit a site plan when asking for a zoning change from residential to special use.
The amended ordinance still would require developers to submit a site plan for City Council approval before any development could take place, the but the change would allow them to provide the site plan after the zone change is approved."
