ABQJOURNAL BIZ: N.M. Green Chile Growers Expecting Bountiful Crop

With the cooler Indian summer really just around the corner, the thought of roasting green chile filling the air around us practically makes our mouths water and our sinuses dream about the approaching roasting season. The upcoming green chile harvest for 2009 is predicted to be one of the best seasons yet. It’s not quite time for the best chile, although we’ve seen some garden markets already promoting chile roasting. We’re all looking forward to what appears to be an awesome chile season for the state of New Mexico. We want send out a hearty congratulation to our hard working farmers of New Mexico for a job well done. Thank You!

Build Unser Road Now!!

If you are ever near the intersection at Unser and McMahan moving South to Irving continuing on to Paradise Blvd., you know what a mess traffic can be. This is because of one little stretch of road that Albuquerque refuses to complete into four lanes for traffic. Right now it’s two. What happens is four lanes of heavy traffic continuously has to merge into two lanes creating a constant bog. Take a look at the link below which provides you with more detailed info about Unser Blvd and its need to be completed.

Sandoval County Claims Top Two Growing Cities!

Sandoval County takes top place again as statistics show that the Cities of Cuba and Bernalillo had the highest percentage of growth rate from 2007 to 2008. Rio Rancho is still holding steady in 7th. This growth in smaller communities like Cuba, reflect the possibility that people are seeking a more rural lifestyle while still having close access to the metro area. The price of land in this area may also be a factor. The city of Cuba is roughly 64 miles from Rio Rancho. ABQJOURNAL RIO RANCHO: Growing Claims: Bernalillo Ranked No. 1
